Hockey Lover!

What a WONDERFUL WEEKEND! The weather here is perfect and lots is getting done on our addition and today I finally finished this card!
I bought this Kenny K hockey digi as soon as it came out. I decided that it would make the perfect birthday card for my son, his birthday is in a few weeks. We are a huge hockey family, it has taken up all of our lives for a very long time! The card took me longer to finish than I thought because I couldn't quite decide on embellishments for it. When finished I was happy with it. I am sure he will be too!

These are some of the fantastic challenges that fit my card

Hand Full of Stamps Challenge HFOS #38-The theme for this challenge is Sept. and Oct. Great Challenge these months are the start of the hockey season so this card is a perfect fit!
One Stop Craft Challenge #91-This challenge is to use patterns on your creation. The DP that I used repeats hockey words on both the white and black sheets.
One Stitch At A time Challenge #23-This week they have a color challenge, black white and one other color. I used maroon as the other color to match my son's uniform.
Stamp with Fun Challenge #69-This week they picked the theme of a card for a boy or a man.
Stampavie and More Challenge #103-This challenge is also a color challenge to use black, white and one other color.
Digi Doodles Shop's Best Challenge #18-This challenge is called "Punch or Cut Me". I punched out the corner squares and the tabs on the sides and then cut out all the rectangles and the digi image!
Cute Card Thursday Challenge #123-This is a fun challenge this week, "Texting Crazy", use text on your card. I have it all over my card!
Raise The Bar Challenge #29-This challenge would like us to use a "sticker" on your creation. I never use stickers but this time the word score is a sticker and worked perfectly on my card!
The Res-Q Challenge RESQ56-This is a really fun challenge this week. Use "ALL CAPS" on your words on your creation. All the letters on my card in came in ALL CAPS!

Christmas in July

Today is Tuesday and that means it is time for another great challenge from Going Grey with Scrap-Creations. OOPS! Today is Wednesday and I am a day behind posting my card for the Going Grey Challenge this week. I finished my card with time to spare and started to write my post and then had to stop and planned to finish it later Monday night. I feel asleep on the couch and stayed there with a blanket all nice and comfy. Tuesday morning came I went off to work at summer school thinking I would post as soon as I got home but went to a long lunch with a friend and then forgot about posting because it was my daughter's B'Day last night. So here I am now finally posting my card and hoping you get a chance to play along with us this week! This week's challenge is Christmas in July! What a great way to start your holiday cards early.

I couldn't decide exactly what I wanted to play with that was Christmas when starting my card and then saw my Rubber Stamp Tapestry box and pulled out all the poinsettia sets (I have 3 different ones) and mixed and matched the different pegs to make a one of a kind holiday wreath. I love lots of sparkle at the holidays so I loaded up the wreath with Platinum Stickles so it would sparkle without outshining the wreath itself. I also made the saying by stamping the greeting then putting the acrylic bubble over it so it would be a bit more unique than just the saying stamped.

The ladies really outdid themselves with super cute cards for this challenge so be sure to stop by and see what they created to inspire you this week!

I hope you come play with us this week and remember to use Basic Grey paper on your creation!

A Flower Cart In Bloom

It is Tuesday and that means another Great Challenge from Going Grey with Scrap-Creations. The challenge this week is to use 3 embellishments on your creation. That was easy for me seeing that I LOVE putting lot of embellishments on my cards. My embellishments are the 2 different ribbons, Dew Drops, Flower Soft, and my tissue paper flower.

We have as fantastic sponsor this week Digital Delights By Louby Loo!
They are offering the winner of this challenge a $10 Gift Certificate to spend in their store. They have super cute images just check out the DT cards this week they are wonderful and all made with Digital Delights images that were graciously given to us by Kate to play with, thanks so much Kate!
I chose the ice cream cart right away but decide that I would make it into a flower cart. i love using my Flower Soft so I drew in some pots on the cart and filled them with the Flower Soft. I also added a separate pot at the bottom to bring in some more flower color. I also wanted to make the cart a bit more playful so I used my MS border punch and and the DP the same as the back round and added it to the bottom of the cart. When I use this digi again I think I will pop up the bottom of the awning to make it look 3D.

I did try something I have never done before. I had Prima flowers in the top corner but they just didn't look right so I made my own flower out of tissue paper. It was a lot easier and quicker to make than I thought. I had a lot of fun making it!

Here are the fabulous creations from the DTs this week. Be sure to let them know how much they inspired you!
We would love to have you come play with us this week so dig out those embellishments and don't forget your Basic Grey paper. Come have some fun at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations!

My Dear Friend

Good morning everyone! I am so happy that we are suppose to get a slight break from the here this weekend. We have had 7 days of very hot and humid weather. I have had all I can do to keep my flowers from baking. I am going to hate to open my water bill after this!

I made this card for a dear friend. She loves roses and grows the most beautiful ones every year.I decided her card would have roses on it. I just got this amazing Fiskers punch at the stamping convention. I had never seen a double punch before, I love having the 2 levers next to each other to punch the pattern around the card. It is the easiest yet to do and comes out perfect every time. I am definitely going to get some more of them soon! I cut out the little boy and popped him up as well as the rose frame. Not my usual thing to do but I felt it needed some dimension. Her favorite colors are pink and purple so this BG paper fit perfectly. I really hopes she likes it.

Happy Birthday To You! Happy Birthday To You!

Happy 4th of July! It is really hot here today and they are saying that it is going to stay in the 90's (feel like it's over 100) most of the week. I spent a lot of the morning working in the garden to try to help the plants hold up under such sun and heat. I hate when everything looks droopy.

I decided I needed a break inside in the AC so I finished up this card that a friend asked me to make for her grandson's birthday. She asked that it be bright and glittery, everything else was up to me. I had these ducks from Sassy Cheryl's digis that I love and thought they looked like they were celebrating so I put the words to Happy Birthday on the card like they are singing it. I used glitter DP and I also the green stripes on the second DP is also glittered. You can't see in the pic but the buttons on the bottom are also glitter buttons. I think I took care of bright and glittery, I wish it showed up more in my photo. I think he will laugh when he sees it!
